Job Summary: 

Reporting to the Development Director, the Membership and Individual Giving Manager will lead strategies for acquiring new members, increasing member retention, and ensuring the success of unrestricted gifts to Swallow Hill Music. This position will also work with other team members to ensure excellent stewardship and create engagement opportunities for members and individual donors. The ideal candidate will have a background in membership program development, individual giving, and/or annual giving, a passion for analyzing data, and ready to drive individual donations through direct mail campaigns and digital engagements.                                                                                                                                                                                            Duties/Responsibilities:

• Help to grow and develop Swallow Hill Music’s membership and individual giving programs.
• Lead data management and hygiene in member and donor databases.
• Steward members and donors.
• Work closely with all SHM staff on events, taking a lead role in membership events.
• Work with vendors and departments on content, design, production, and calendar for print and online membership and fundraising materials.
• Coordinate the cycle of membership renewals and acquisitions including list management and analysis, renewal schedule mailings, e-communications, website updates, on-site and online acquisition and renewals, and member correspondence.
• Increase membership acquisition and retention of members.
• Facilitate community partnerships and benefits fulfillment. 
• Work with the Development Director to execute donor-centered engagement strategies based on giving level and capacity.

Duties/Responsibilities CONTINUED:

• Provide support for the Swallow Hill Music’s overall development program, including but not limited to responding to inquiries, coordinating acquisition efforts, and managing gift processing and reporting.
• Manage production of direct mail and email annual fund solicitations, including list management and analysis, e-communications, website updates, and donor correspondence.
• Process both segmented and personalized mailings, emails, calls, appeals, social media engagements, and other stewardship communications with donors and members.
• Streamline and enhance all online and mobile giving pages, promote giving within digital communications (e-newsletters and announcements), and analyze digital media engagements.
• Create and analyze regular reports to chart progress towards revenue and engagement goals to inform fundraising and programmatic priorities.
• Track in-kind donations and facilitating outgoing in-kind donations from Swallow Hill Music. 
• In conjunction with the Development Director, create and implement of SOPs and best practices for but not limited to the following:
  • Receiving, processing, and acknowledging  donations (in-kind, monetary, tickets, etc.)
  • Membership program renewals, auto renewals, new members, and reactivated members
  • Membership levels and benefits 
    • Member discount codes in Eventbrite and additional ticketing systems
    • Configio and Kindful databases 

Education and Experience: 

• 2+ years of experience with customer-centered sales or marketing, membership, and/or annual fund programs.
• Background in creating email and mail marketing materials in addition to customer-centric experiences to inspire and activate prospects.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including ability to analyze data and create engagement plans or donor/member journeys.
• Ability to take initiative and anticipate potential complications or needs before they arise.
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills, with ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects on tight deadlines.
• Strong experience with Google Suite and CRM databases, preference for Kindful.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Enthusiasm and desire to make an impact on a mission-driven team with a strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements: 

• This position requires walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods. ● Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds. 
• Manual dexterity to operate standard office, data entry, and other related facility and production equipment is required.
